The Digital DNA tourism conference, held in Titanic Belfast, hosted speakers from some of the world’s leading travel, tourism and hospitality organisations who came to Belfast to inspire Northern Ireland’s local businesses to embrace technology for growth.
Speakers including experts from Google, Expedia, Yotel, Hospitality Ulster and lastminute.com, hosted the main stage and delivered workshops aimed at helping local businesses increase their profile among tourists around the globe.
The event, hosted in conjunction with Tourism NI and sponsored by leading UK & Ireland digital agency Engage, was the latest technology event from the team at Digital DNA.
Digital DNA wanted to engage delegates with a new technology which would leave a lasting impression – just like the tourism market in Northern Ireland. Luminas creative team worked developed a creative concept which would see visitors get the opportunity to visit 3 iconic landmarks in just one day and share their experience straight to their social media sites.
Utilising Lumina Selfie Pod and green screen during breaks, intervals and lunch, delegates at the Digital DNA Tourism Conference were invited to have their picture taken at a number of scenes including:
- Our very own Giants Cause Way
- Times Square, New York
- The leaning tower of Pisa, Italy
Following their picture they could create a sharable gif, upload straight to their personal social media sites and receive a branded print out to take away with them.
Over 400 delegates visited Titanic Belfast to learn how to embrace technology for growth from the exceptional line of of experts and over half had the opportunity to visit the Digital DNA Around the World Selfie Pod for the unique photographic experience, before sharing it online and taking home their own branded photo.
